I too love BTPN and that smell of petrol when it passes by. I have been travelling a lot since i was 9, and specially loved freights and BTPN when a train is slow-crossing a station , specially at night ,and the presence of a BTPN with the smell of gasoline, wah ! Since child i was fond of Elocos.
I also like when a train is entering a big station, its monsoon period , it just rained and its dawn, and you spot your favourite freight , either on the yard lines or on the main line, you are standing at the door, sipping hot tea or coffee.. enjoying the scene !
