I am surprised.
NFR GM Virdi has already informed that 12501 PSK will go to Silchar, at first on one additional (4th day in the week) day to begin with. They are waiting for CRS inspection report to announce the date.
Kanchenjunga is also getting extended to Silchar and there will be an Alipurduar-Silchar Inter City in addition to Silchar-Mariani passenger.

Its Not So Easy Northeast Express is on list to might get Extended to Sichar. So Finger is Crossed. And Sichar People need daily Train to Delhi and Daily is Northeast Express not PSK. So can't say which train can be extended.
The new Lumding-Silchar BG line has been inspected in two parts first between LMG and New Haflong and now between New Haflong and Silchar. CRS report on the second part is awaited. It has been explained that the required rectifications will be promptly made and the passenger trains will start operations. In the month of June 30 goods trains have moved from Lumding to Silchar.
Because of monsoon the inauguration date may get moved to Oct1 at the worst, I gather.
