What is the Mileage of diesel loco, in layman language? or how much diesel is consumed for, say, 100 kms?
Of course it would depend on technology, no of coaches, wagons, gradient, etc.

Mileage for diesel locos is usually not measured in km per litre. But in laymen terms, it is usually somewhere between 4 liter/km to 10 liter/km. Or around 400 liters of diesel for 100km.
