Recently I travelled by 22631 Chennai Bikaner Anuvrat Express from Bhopal to Jaipur.
My observations as experienced:
1. Cleanliness in the train is a MAJOR issue. There is no On Board Cleaning Staff. Toilets had choked or leaking with no water in taps;
2. Attendant not traceable;
3.
...
more...
Passengers already sleeping in our berths. Had to wake them up at 12:00 midnight. This should have been the responsibility of the Attendant / TTE to see that neither the sleeping passengers nor we were inconvenienced at midnight;
4. As morning broke, the Wash-Basins were overflowing and choked;
5. Urine and shit in the toilets. Had to travel from AE-1 to A1 for the loo, as this toilet was slightly better;
6. Quality of breakfast was POOR. The pantry contractor to save money mixes water type Sambhar with Chatni in a low grade plastic pouch. This gets strewn all over when the passengers try to open it thereby further dirtying the coach and inconveniencing other co-passengers;
7. Quality of bedding provided was good even though the train starts from Chennai and we boarded from Bhopal; Bedsheets were unused and clean;
8. AC was comfortable;
9. Since the coaches are of LHB make and comparatively newer, designing is passenger friendly. Ample charging points. Curtains clean and welcrow in place. Had a good sleep.
Suggestions:
1. Since this is supposed to be a premium train, running time between Chennai and Bikaner can be cut down atleast by 5 - 6 hours and this is possible;
2. On Board Cleaning staff should be IMMEDIATELY provided;
3. Food quality should be looked into and improved urgently;
4. ATTENDANT should be in the Coach and made accountable.
