Jittery Moment - Travel Incident :

Recently had to travel in 11302- Udyan Express due to some work.The Train Left from Gulbarga more or less on time and was passing this station named Bablad. From here is start of single section towards solapur.The Station has a dead end kind of loop line in its proximity which wasn't known earlier since it was on curve.

the train running in the down line instead of Up line.Suddenly the train came to a screeching halt & started to backpedal (run in reverse), thought whats happening??!!The controller at station was guiding it back in the process waving the flag. I thought they seem to have made a error in giving signal to the train and correcting it and so the train has to backpedal and Switch to Up line.
Now comes the Jittery moment comes when this was slowly backpedaling, a loud continuous honk of Loco could be heard but can't be seen since it was on the curve and bushes/trees blocking the view.Thought OMG whats happening is the speeding train heading towards us on the downline??So is it going to be a Head on collision since both trains are on same track and would it happen in front of my eyes!! such curiosity built up in mind causing a real jittery moment.
Had to bear the moment for good 1 Min before @ sight of LTT-CBE Kurla Express led by KJM EMD sped past at Very good speed us on the Up line towards Gulbarga and we proceeded ahead switching on to the Up line towards GUR. Was a Jittery Moment and latter once i saw the kind of loop line while passing felt ok and don't actually know whether it was a mistake by the crew @ station or usual thing.
