Even in 2024 nobody will be pay as much as asked by the study. If we take in 5% annual inflation on prices of 3A fare it should come to no more than Rs. 1200. But then I agree it is a premium service and fare need me close to 2A fare around Rs. 1700 - 1800.
Thats next to impossible sire for such services the fares will be always high & is exclusively only for those who can afford.
As per current GDP of India and per capita income...The High speed rail is not feasible at present but it may work 20-30 years later.
sir there are 15-20 daily direct flights between Mumbai-ADI, airfare starts from 2000-2500 during off season. If you want to book last minute ticket during peak season, you will get airfare of around 4000-6000. Flight takes approx 1 hr, plus early arrival at airport and going back from airport will add 2 more hours in your travel time. New bullet train will take 2 hrs flat time..

I dont understand, why do you think that a passenger who can afford airline ticket or 1st class/ EC shatabdi ticket, will not migrate to...

because...In India travel by train is not equal to travel by air....change in thinking will take some time...I am not saying that people will not travel presently, but after 20-30 years they will be mentally prepared (and huge chance of success as well). In China...HSR is much successful in many routes.
