My Grand Father's Home. Used to frequently visit this station from Bardhwan via Black Diamond Express and change to Gour Express till New Farakka. That time Black Diamond had double decker coaches and while I would wait for Black Diamond, Kolkata NDLS Rajdhani would speed past with WAP-1 and AC Chair Car coaches. I am talking about somewhere in 1990-91-92. As a small boy, I loved the smell of burning coal, view of Coaleries (small village of coal workers) and evening view of smoke coming from small villages, from Black Diamond express. Fond memories.
