North India or North Bengal train can ply from Shalimar via Bhattanagar, Dankuni Route. It is shortest route than Kharagpur-Adra. Stoppage at Dankuni would solve of passengers who like to board at Howrah because Dankuni is 15 km from Howrah. Even Kolkata passenger can avail easily via Sealdah - Dankuni section. IR should think this substitute link so that Howrah stn can get relief from traffic

there were multiple plans of grand terminal at Dankuni due to to its accessibilty to NH-2/6.As it is already having numerous rail based industries and also the Logistics hub as Dedicated freight corridor will terminate,there are enormous potential at Dankuni.
Dankuni Terminal would be better as Dumdum is 14 km 300 mt, Howrah is 15 km, Sealdah is 22 Km, Bally is 6 Km. By the Expressway Airport is only 18 km. Satragachi is 14 km via Bhattanagar. Passengers would feel better.
yup...that only needs a infra development at Dankuni.Making bus terminal,developing apparoach road to NH-2/6 and developing terminal facilities at Station.Needs collaborated effort on the part of Railways,state govt and other stake holders.
Biggest Bus Terminal already exists at Dankuni Housing. 2 minutes gap bus departs towards Saltlake, New Town, Garia, Esplanade
