Sparsh Bhai,Srisailam(1 of the 12 places to house a jyotirling dedicated to Lord Shiva) ke aas paas ka area is categorized as a Forest but in a broader definition Nallamala Range is part of the much bigger Eastern Ghats so can be termed as a range and the entire range is home to various wild life species with very less human disturbance.Hope that helps.

Yes,Diguvumetta is probably the only village of notable mention in the entire range that is surrounded by the range in it's immediate vicinity but luckily it's almost on the eastern peripheral of the range which might be of some comfort to the villagers with Giddalur the closest town to Diguvumetta on the eastern side and Nandyal on the western side.The entire range is further classified into individual forest ranges like -
