Yes thats the prob here , the biggest problem here is the INS Rajali which stops the electrification , SR clearly mentioned only after the issue gets solved CJ will get more trains , That case is going on now ., Till that time SR planned to construct one more line from Takkolam and join MAS-JTJ line near a place called Melpakkam. That's why it could not proceed further. Once the new line gets completed then it may be good for CJ.

But that small portion electrification is pending from many years. But with proper political pressure the issue can be taken up at Railway board level. Small portion electrification is threat means no one can do any thing. I think this issue not properly addressed.
In view of national interest this small portion electrification should be done...Its not only effecting CJ , its effecting many indian irrespective of state AND REGION.
If electrification is done then pressure CGL also will reduce.

That's also true. I have two observations with this train.
1. My travelling exp from MAS-RJY. That day 50% people got down at MAS and most of AC coaches occupied at MAS only. When i asked TTE for seat to RJY , he asked me u want in 3A or 2A as many vacant seats even after MAS. Actually its a saturday night when Godavari Puskaras going on. All trains to BZA,RJY,VSKP packed at that weekend due to Puskaras but this train still has many empty tickets at MAS.

night i have current booking status of this train at MAS. It say NE for all classes. That means seats not available ?? Actually DHanbad to MAS its in GNWL so people can book many tickets to MAS.
Any ways as you told only IR have data but unfortunately they wont maintain.

Few observations:
1. Lots of passengers book in this train between PGT, CBE onwards till Chennai . I have travelled quite afew times in season as well as off season and seen that it is well occupied.
2. During Sabarimala season between Nov-Jan, train is jampacked between Kerala-Andhra. Falling under PQWL you would usually find Regret status.
3. This train caters to lots of intermediate passengers eg

: CBE to RJY Or ED to Sambalpur etc etc. I had raised an issue in the PG portal and the response i got that this train usually runs jampacked till end.
4. Even though the train might be almost vacant after Katpadi while coming from DHN, most of the stations issue sleeper tickets allowing passengers to board the vacant berths thus giving a huge opportunity for railways for extra revenues.
