Is it possible to book a ticket for a kid of 4 years age by showing age as 5 years so he get full seat
Can TTE ask for age proof?

FYI CC dont have RACs. Plus he is paying half of the amount. Railways is in no way concerned which tickets go in WL or confirms. All it wants is to earn money and it is earning
He can grab the seat of another passenger by showing his son's age as 5. It's not at all a problem and the tte is not going to check his age. But I just pointed out the funny contradiction between his screen name and his enquiry.
Do you that it is possible to book the neighbouring seat for a fat guy to travel in comfort? This is also same like. Railways issues no seats for children of 4 yes or below.

tte is concerned only when people lower age but you are increasing age so no problem afaik....
if you pay full fare for your son then I dont think tte will even bother to ask age of your child..

I was more interested if a Railway rule exists.
Personally I would recommend everyone avoid this as possible. God forbidden - It will be a nightmare if train accident happens and lifes are lost and some kids are wrongly aged more.
However railway must consider allotting seats to kids less than 5 years if passenger wants to pay, specially...
