Electrification, Electronic Interlocking (SSI) , Data loggers and finally doubling. A lot of these upgradations are on in the coming days here. A final survey for doubling is going on and followed by tendering by March 2016, and then later in 2016, doubling + electrification of the new line (2nd line for doubling) shall commence. The doubling shall be completed by March 2019. The Ambala division says that after doubling, the daily traffic shall be increased here. At present RVNL is about to start the electrification of the single line, leaving room for poles etc for 2nd line. As per RVNL , they'll get plans and maps for proposed double line and shall avoid installation of masts on that side. And later shall install OHE for the 2nd line. #Patiala #Electrification

Signaling work is a part of electrification tender. So, it shall be done in conjunction with it. Electrification for all these sections is about to commence anytime soon. Anytime by next month. All the official formalities have been completed too, and believe me you, they are in more hurry than us :) .
