Why diesel locomotives are used to haul trains in sections which have fully electrified tracks? Can't electric locomotives haul the train to the nearest point from where the train has to travel in non electrified section with a Diesel locomotive? Isn't it a huge burden on the National exchequer? It is really sad to see diesel locomotives hauling trains into & out of CSTM regularly

Main question ye hai ki railway kyo eloco ki jagah diesel loco use karti hai? Na ki drivers ki pasand kya hai.
Staff is needed for Electric to Diesel loco change at Pune, which is an unnecessary burden and also it costs time at the busy Pune station....
