sir,
railways has special SS quota or #lowerberthquota for Female 45 and above traveling alone, or Male 60 and above traveling alone. Few berths in sleeper class coaches are reserved excursively for this quota and are given on priority to people eligible for SS quota // #lowerberthquota depending upon vacant berths in this quota at time of charting.
e.g -- Mr X (Male 30 ) books a GNWL#116/96 ticket and Mr Y (Male 60) books GNWL#146/126. Now if at time of charting berth meant for SS quota // ...
