25 KV AC Converted KYN WCAM3 # 21934 getting ready, soon to haul 11026 Pune-BSL Exp, on Monday, 07-Sep-2015! Photos taken at morning 07:40 hrs and 10:40 hrs! Blue loco (seen in Photo 1) is AJJ WAG-7 taking rest at Pune from 01-Sep-2015!

I also saw the interiors of the loco! I was made an offer to travel in the loco up to Chinchwad or Lonavala, which I politely declined!
This AC Only WCAM3 had come to Pune with DR-MS Chennai Super! And it went out with Pune-BSL Exp!
WCAM-3 is NOW converted to Full 25 KV AC.

I think now all WCAM will be converted to FULL 25kv AC so that they can be used with Trains from End to End.
One thing is clear the Conventional Locomotives(WAP-4,WAG-5,WAG-7,WCAM-3 etc) are on the brink of their Era so now IR use them in the Passenger Service as more...

As per my discussions with staff, the AC converted WCAM-3 locos will be used only in Ghat Section (as bankers) as well as for Pune-BSL Exp and may be Pune-Mumbai Exp Trains. WR Staff has strictly said NO to any type of WCAMx locos on Pune-ADI Section. Also, IGP/MMR Staff has said NO to WCAM2/2P on KYN-KSRA-IGP-MMR Section! These constraints (for whatsoever reasons) has given opportunity to railfans at Pune to witness WAPx locos for variety of sheds coming from ADI side!
Jo Bhi Ho WAG-9 is the BAAP of all........ a Powerful Goods Loco in the years to come....
