Huge crowd waiting to board NCJ Exp at Pune! And finally, 25 min late running 16339 Mumbai-Nagercoil Exp comes on PF6 of Pune Station on Wednesday, 09-Sep-2015, at 16:25 hrs, headed by LHF (Long Hood Forward) running PUNE WDG4 # 12711 EMD Power!

#offlink - Post AC Conversion of CSTM, this train mostly gets EMD Loco GOC Shed. If the train gets Alco loco, it is from PUNE or KYN Sheds only. In case the train comes to Pune (from South) with Alco loco of other sheds, the same is "cut" at Pune and then PUNE/KYN Alco or any available EMD Power is allotted for Pune-Mumbai Run!
As per information received from staff, today's CSTM-NCJ Exp had usual GOC EMD Power!
If they want to change. Y can't these trains switch to electric loco whatever like Kanniyakumari Cst jayanti janata exptess and Chennai Egmore Dadar express etc etc
Due to line congestion problems, unavailability of platforms, line / points getting blocked by E or D locos as well as shunting engines, PUNE Operations has strictly said NO to anymore D to E or E to D Loco Changes at Pune (other than the existing / present day loco changes at Pune). Hence, Diesel Locos haul all the trains coming from LTT to Pune and many other trains coming from CSTM to Pune!
