Had it derailed after 1 minute, the impact would have been major and worse as another down EMU Was approaching ..... It halted on time

Sources claim that last week, track point work was undertaken at the site of the derailment, and a caution sign warning loco-pilots not to exceed 20KMPH was installed. Over speeding was probably the cause of the derailment.
A motorman averted a major mishap by controlling the speed of another local coming on the down line. He stopped the train just before the derailment point.
