This LGD WAP7 # 30288 came to Pune yesterday with NZM-Pune Duronto Exp. While coming to Pune, near Kalyan, the panto was broken. The loco pilots used front panto and brought Duronto Exp to Pune. Pune Electric Trip Shed staff analyzed the situation and found that panto repair / replacement can only be done by parent shed (LGD). Hence, the loco is now being sent 'dead' to HYB!
7th Pic set as Loco Pic.
Brilliant analysis done in Re# 1591970-3 for this WAP-7.
This is the "Second Pantograph Issue of a LGD WAP-7" after the Pantograph issue of a WAP-7 of this Shed with 12859 near Dashnagar in recent past.
I am proud to see that we have dedicated railfans in our family with in-depth knowledge in every aspect....

Thanks for choosing photo as Loco Pic! Thanks for your words of appreciation.
What a sad end to the LGD monster...!! by Sad i mean WAP& has the lagacy of hauling the powerful express trains in IR but going dead is really sad... If its Panto had been ok, this would hv hauled Duronto back to NDLS..
Yes! ETS Staff did thorough analysis if the same can be repaired here at Pune. They, however, found that, some small parts of panto assembly are/were missing (probably flew away near Kalyan when the panto was broken and the train was in motion). Hence, the decision was taken to send it to parent / home shed for repairs.
