Both of these senior people have been allocated berths in different coaches. So, they are planning to board the train from SBC. Hope fares both from KJM & SBC to HWH for SS quota are same. So, is it sufficient to take a II nd class SF ticket from SBC to KJM & board the train in AC from SBC instead of KJM ? TTE used to come after KJM na?

20mins mein TTE nahi aata... main hota toh aram se baith jata... KJM tak ka ticket bhi na leta! xP
Take a 2nd class ticket and board d train from sbc and you can sit on ur reserved seats!! No issues!!
Can board the reserved itself, not much fuss about it. After all, they are seniors.
Rule is simple. Passengers need to buy the right ticket for the right class they are traveling in. Strictly speaking they will either be ticketless (if they dont buy the ticket) or traveling in the higher class with a lower class ticket (if they buy 2nd class ticket). That they will not get caught in case no TTE shows up or they will not be penalized since they are seniors and have a ticket from station close by is another matter.
