A) Morning Observations at Pune on Thursday,02-Oct-2008, Gandhi Jayanti Day, from 10:15 to 10:45 hrs!
1) At 10:15 hrs, electric trip shed (ETS) had BL WCAM1 # 21829 # 21841 and KYN WCAM3 # 21887 # 21942 # 21955 # 21960 locos. Board / name plate on KYN WCAM3 21942 indicated that it had arrived with 2127 Mumbai-Pune Intercity Exp.

more... 2136 Nagpur-Pune Superfast Exp came on PF4 with brown PUNE WDM3A # 17863R. This loco went back towards diesel loco shed area (GIT Yard).
3) Yellow PUNE WDS6 # 36105 removed the empty rake of 1021 Mumbai-Pune Indrayani Exp from PF1.
4) A goods train with three PUNE WDG3A locos came from Shivajinagar direction and moved towards Ghorpuri Yard. The leading loco (towards Daund/Miraj direction) was orange PUNE WDG3A # 14677 and 2 trailing locos were turquoise PUNE WDG3A Shakti locos. All the 3 locos were MU'ed.
5) Derated green PUNE WDM2S # 18346 was busy with shunting work.
6) Pit line between PF2/PF3 (Mumbai end of Pune station) had blue GTL WDM2A # 16752.
7) Empty rake of 2127 CSTM-PUNE ICE was on Platform Number 5.
8) Baramati-Pune Passenger came on PF3 with brown PUNE WDM2 # 17628. This loco went back to diesel loco shed area. Later, same rake of BRTM shuttle departed as 1618 Pune-Karjat shuttle with KYN WCAM3 # 21887.
9) Yellow PUNE WDS6 # 36140 was busy shunting goods wagons.
10) Derated brown PUNE WDM2S # 17158 # 17168 were taking rest inside diesel trip shed for shunters.
11) 2158 Solapur-Pune Hutatma Express came on PF6 with ED WDM3A # 14124.
12) 1014 Coimbatore-Kurla Exp came on PF1 with KJM WDP4 # 20028.
13) T3 Talegaon-Pune EMU was expected on PF3.
14) There was no announcement about 2148A Nizamuddin-Pune Khel Special (full AC train)! 2148A was running late for an unknown time!
B) Afternoon Observations at Pune on Thursday, 1.10.08 from 15:00 to 16:45 hrs!
1) 1610 Miraj-Pune Passenger had arrived on PF6 with brown PUNE WDM2 # 16750. This loco went back towards diesel loco shed. The same rake later runs as 1621A Pune-Satara Passenger at 17:05 hrs.
2) T6 Pune-Talegaon EMU departed from PF5.
3) ED WDM3A # 14124 parked the rake of Games Spl 2147A Pune-Nizamuddin CYG Express on PF2. This Erode power then went towards Pit line near PF6 (Daund end of Pune Station). 2147A PUNE-NZM AC Spl soon got ready with BL WCAM1
# 21841. This is fully airconditioned Games Special Common-Wealth Express. All AC bogies of this train were from NR andbased at DLI (Delhi). The train composition was: Engine BL WCAM1 21841 - Brake Luggage and Generator Car # NR # 2745 - H1 # NR # 01001 - A2 AC2T # NR # 14142 - A1 AC3T # NR # 01056 - Pantry Car PC # NR # 2145 - B9 AC3T # NR # 15611 - B8 AC3T # NR # 00122 - B7 AC3T # NR # 15615 - B6 AC3T # NR # 01111 - B5 AC3T # NR # 00117 - B4 AC3T # NR # 15516
- B3 AC3T # NR # 96132 - B2 AC3T # NR # 15515 - B1 AC3T # NR # 01112 - Brake Luggage & Generator Car # NR # 2741.
The train left Pune station at 15:21 hrs and as last coach (Guard Van or Generator Car) was leaving Mumbai end of PF2, there was chain pulling! Finally, the train left Pune at 15:33 hrs, delayed by 13 minutes! This resulted in delaying of Deccan Exp and
Pune-LNL EMU trains! All coaches/bogies of AC Spl were marked as "POH at JUDW", i.e. POH at Jagadhari Workshop of NR!
4) Yellow PUNE WDS6 # 36105 was busy with shunting work.
5) Derated green PUNE WDM2S # 18346 parked the rake of outgoing 1037 Pune-Gorakhpur Weekly Express on PF3.
6) 1008 Pune-Mumbai Deccan Exp was ready on PF4 with KYN WCAM3 # 21955. Deccan exp left Pune at around 15:40 hrs.
7) At 15:40 hrs, electric trip shed (ETS) had BL WCAM1 # 21839 # 21829 and KYN WCAM3 # 21932 # 21951 # 21960 locos. WCAM1 21839 came with 2148A H.NZM-Pune Special train.
8) 1030 Kolhapur-Mumbai Koyana Exp arrived on PF2 with KJM WDP4 # 20032 in LHF (long hood forward) mode towards Mumbai direction. Koyna left towards Mumbai almost at 16:30 hrs, i.e. late by 30 min (and was held up at Pune for almost 40-45 minutes)!
9) 1078 Jammutawi-Pune Jhelum Exp came on PF1 with orange PUNE WDG3A # 14904. This loco got detached and was loitering in the station premises. Mostly, same 14904 later hauled 1077 Pune-Jammutawi Jhelum Express.
10) 1037 Pune-Gorakhpur Exp departed from PF3 with orange PUNE WDG3A # 14818. There was heavy rush/crowd in 1037 PUNE-GKP Exp. Loco pilots confirmed that the same Pune power 14818 will haul the train till GKP and will return back with 1038 GKP-PUNE Weekly Express.
11) Derated brown PUNE WDM2S # 17158 removed rake of 1078 Zelum Exp from PF1 and then parked another fresh/clean rake of 1077 PUNE-JAT Zelum Exp on PF1.
12) 6530 Bangalore-Mumbai Udyan Exp came on PF5 with KJM WDP4 # 20042 in SHF mode (short hood forward) towards Mumbai direction at 16:09 hrs and departed at 16:19 hrs.
13) 6339 Mumbai-Nagercoil Exp came with KYN WCAM3 # 21952 and departed with ED WDM3A # 14124.
14) 7031 Mumbai-Hyderabad Exp came with orange KZJ WDMx loco and went out.
15) 6340 Nagercoil-Mumbai Exp came on PF3 at 16:30 hrs with ED WDM2A # 18534 and departed with KYN WCAM3 # 21960.
16) 1621A Pune-Satara Passenger was ready on PF6 with blue PUNE WDM3A # 18737R. The loco is freshly painted.
17) Turquoise PUNE WDG3A # 13051 Shakti was waiting for duty, mostly to haul 2135 Pune-Nagpur SF Express.
18) L13 Lonavala-Pune EMU came at around 15:33 hrs and departed back as L20 Pune-Lonavala EMU at 15:53 hrs.
19) L15 Lonavla-Pune EMU came at 16:25 hrs and departed back at 16:40 hrs as L22 Pune-Lonavala local.
20) T5 Talegaon-Pune EMU was soon expected on PF5 or PF4 (after 7031's departure).
