Today on 21st October, the king of IR 12002 Bhopal Shatabdi , traveled the distance between NZM to Bhopal in 8 Hrs 8 Mins ( taking into account a 10 mins travel time from NDLS to NZM & then delay of 18 mins ) & the same distance of NZM to Bhopal was done by an Ordinary SF train 22110 ( NZM - LTT AC express ) in exactly 8 Hrs with 10 mins delay at Bhopal.....8 Mins faster than the King.....Congratulations to all AC Fans for this Great performance by their beloved train after 2 years of Wait.

One update: IR gonna procure 11000HP WAP frm Germany & will deploy in sme trains (BPL Shatabdi one of them)..to speed it up!!
Now this change whn gonna induced, will speed-up the train..cz acceleration will move quite high, with MPS remaining same!!

Answers to your points :-
1. I'm aware of it. Hence the stoppage time was reduced to 10 min long time back. However, the overall schedule did not change.
2. Yes, WAPx locos are fit for higher speeds (130+ km/h). But were they really running at that speed?

The MPS for the Rajdhanis was increased recently.
Another factor which must be considered is the inter-stoppage distance. BPL Shatabdi stops at 7 places between NDLS and BPL (702.5 km).
Average inter stoppage distance = 100.35 km
BCT Raj stops at 5 places between BCT and NDLS (1385.6 km).
Average inter stoppage distance = 277.12 km
In terms of priority, both are kings!
^ Clearly, the Raj can cruise at MPS for a longer distance unlike Shatabdi, which has to stop after every 100 km on an avg. Hence, the average speed will be higher.
BTW, Shatabdi's avg speed was 90 some yrs back. Thanks to politics, it's all ruined!

1. Virar-BRC-ADI speed hike was linked with WCAM to WAP change!! Overall schedule gt changed whn MPS gt upgraded..so major change has been 10/15 mins..for UP/DN!!
2. WAP started running only whn track gt clearance for 130/120 MPS..WCAM on AC Traction will further hav reduced MPS (approx 90)!!
3. Avg Stoppage for Shatabdi: In between MTJ-GWL..its 172..5 stops (including MTJ-GWL)...Avg @ 38 Approx!! It recovers in between GWL-BPL!!

If u mean ordinary SF as NZM-LTT AC SF....then its not ordinary SF, as repeatedly gt tagged over here!!
Its LHB Fully AC Rake!! Non LHB Fully AC Rake job..as follows:
BDTS-NZM GR/Yuva: RTM-KOTA @ 106..267 Kms##Return: MTJ-KOTA @ 113..324 Kms
