i have been alloted berth no. 72 in G4 (AC-Economy Class) coach in 12271 Lucknow-New Delhi AC Duranto. The ticket shows it as upper berth whereas logically it should be side upper one. Can anyone help me.

agree but if you talk about the real garib, majority of whom travel in unreserved general compartments & jostle for every inch of available space in the coach they still can't even afford to travel sleeper class, what to say of 3AC. On the contrary, I have seen lots of people in garib raths travelling with every modern day available gadgets viz. blackberry phones, laptops, gps devices etc & some carrying luggage with airline tags( which shows they just air travelled). Atleast they don't fall in the category of garibs(poor).

thats what i am telling, its a personal choice. there is no hard and fast rule for travel , even i have traveled on GR 2 or 3 times, ypr-sc and old delhi to benaras .. and i can afford 2A .. but the choice was also availability ..
basically the target is not the ones who travel on general, the target is for those who travel in SL.. and people like me traveled on it as there was no other availability of 3A or 2A in other trains .. its all matter of choice and one more thing .. if its a short overnight journey ranging from 9-14 or 15 hrs , many would but when it comes to a
...
long distance say chennai to delhi or something like that , lot of people would 2nd that considering its not that comfortable
but end of the day its a personal choice ... no pressure

Then Anirban Da , all 3A coaches tickets in Garib Rath Trains Only should be available in 3E Prices BUT these Side Middle Berths SHOULD be scrapped , thus turning the berth design of these 3E Coaches into 3A Coaches . Many people of ALL age groups are facing back pains due to these side middle berths and these special berths have also resulted in petty quarrels among passengers over seat sharing and sitting / lying issues . Scrap the things which give problem to passenger's comfort . Even Lalu Ji scrapped wooden seats in General coaches by getting them replaced by Cushioned Seats in existing coaches within carriage workshops and stopping the manufacturing of further wooden seats in coach factories . Thanks .

garib rath runs on low cost because of the increment in the number of berths, and thats what 3E is about more number of berths and if that is scrapped then whats the difference between 3E and 3A
