Was it due to poor patronisation?..........The same fate was met by the madgaon-mangalore janshatabdi express. Is it so difficult for the rail authorities to find out the feasibility of running a train or not??

No.the train is temporarily cancelled due to unavailability of pit lanes at Mangalore since some work is happening there.
We didn't see poor patronization while returning. The general coaches and AC CC were totally full! Reserved sitting coaches had less occupancy but many general passengers paid the difference and occupied those. Many people boarded from Karwar and Kumta as well since this train serves as the last train towards Udupi and Mangalore.
Now..., It's high time.... It will be better, if they extend it to Vasco from Dec...
