Next budget my views will be simple:-
1) HWH-NDLS (Via GAYA,PNBE) to have quadrupled line as currently only HWH-BWN section is successful
2) ASR & JAT-MAS via NDLS,BPL,BZA to have quadrupled line
3) NDLS-BCT line to have quadrupled line (follow August kranti route)

WAP4's technology is obsolete globally. With time, replacement of parts will only get more expensive. The technology used in WAP5/7 locomotives is very much the current technology (induction motors + computer control).
Simple logic :-
You have an 8 year "Trusted War Horse" pentium processor PC with XP. Why should you upgrade it to a Corei5 or Corei7 machine when the job can be done with the old one? Eventually you have to as the platform becomes obsolete, there will be no support and the cost of supporting it will be high. Same...
