Indrayani Exp Trouble and Schedule Collapse! Observations at Pune : 02 December 2008!
Evening observations at Pune on Tuesday, 02-Dec-2008, from 18:55 to 19:05 hrs!
As I reached Pune station, I saw late running 1547 Pune-Baramati Passenger departing from PF5 with blue PUNE WDM2 # 18512R. And empty rake of 1009 Mumbai-Pune Sinhgad...

Exp was seen on PF4 as usual. 6508 Bangalore-Jodhpur Exp was ready on PF3 with BL WCAM1 # 21817. Electric trip shed had 1 KYN WCG2 and BL WCAM1 # 21849 taking rest. One more loco was deep inside shed.
1556 Solapur-Pune Passenger came on PF5 with GY WDM3A # 14022 baldie, with buldge face towards Daund direction.
Pit line between PF2/3 had blue GTL WDM2A # 16695 taking rest. In pit line near PF6, orange/blue GY WDM3A # 18906R was getting ready, soon to haul 6381 CSTM-CAPE JJ Express. And most imp observation: There was continuous annoucement as "On Duty GRP/RPF, please attend train on PF2"!
There was some big quarrel and/or brake pipe leakage issue with outgoing 1022 Pune-Mumbai Indrayani Exp on PF2. 1022 headed by KYN WCAM3 # 21961 had crossed points such that loco was near electric trip shed location and last few coaches/bogies still on PF2. All travelers were frustrated. Indrayni Exp had not left Pune till 19:05 hrs, i.e. already now late by 30 minutes!
And this has cascading effect as below:
Lonavala-Pune local, which was expected on PF2 (and supposed to go back as Pune-Lonavala local at 19:00 hrs) was held up on outer yard. Behind EMU local, 1019 Konark (which was expected on PF1) will be delayed. Behind 1019, 6381 CAPE Jantha Exp will be delayed. Outgoing LNL EMU will be delayed. Also, 6508 will be delayed (still on PF3). Shunter loco that is expected to remove
rake of 1009 Sinhgad Exp from PF4 will be held up. Also, Gooty loco that came with 1556 will be late in going back to GIT (usually going back using down through line between PF1/PF2). And still at 19:05 hrs, GRP-RPF were asked to attend PF2 Indrayani Express!
