As and when a train reaches its destination, the loco is detached and moved a little distance away from the rake. Decoupling is understood but why should a loco be inched a bit forward after decoupling? Any specific technical reason?
When loco is attached at the other end, the jerk isn't transmitted to coupler of detached loco.
