Sir/Madam
A person travelling from Panvel to the western suburbs currently travels via Kurla/ Vadala/ Bandra/ Andheri by train/auto/taxi at various points. The only direct train from Panvel to Andheri during morning peak hours is at 7.40 a.m.
Once the Panvel to Ghatkopar Train service is commenced, it will reduce hardhips for those travelling from Navi Mumbai as they will prefer the Metro from Ghatkopar. This is a fast mode of transport and avoids road traffic.
Therefore,

the Central Railways should commence Panvel- Ghatkopar Train services immediately. The trains can ply upto Kurla on Platform 9 i.e. which is built but unused till date. From there the train can ply to Ghatkopar on Platform 1 and then back to Kurla and Panvel via the same route. The frequency during morning peak hours can be one train every 30 minutes and then gradually increased.
The Panvel residents hope this is introduced by this month end as a New Year gift to Panvel commuters.

Not Feasible, From Kurla(CLA) Train Has To Move From Platform No-9 To DN Slow Line To Reach Ghatkopar On PlatFrom No 1, In That process It Has To Cross UP & DN Harbour Line, UP & DN Fast Line And UP Slow Line, This Would Cause Disruption To All UP & DN Local/Mail/Express Service on Main Line, Harbour Line And UP Slow Line
