A Throwback to 2013 :-
♥♥♥♥♥ Chalukya Express ♥♥♥♥♥ ( Part I )
A day when finally I was set to move out to the world alone :p I was 17 years old then and had my CET exams at Bengaloor. This time I compelled to travel alone and hence was granted the same. Then started the game of choosing the train to the destination. Well sadly its not the Mumbai-Delhi kind of routes where you have loads of options, but whatsoever the options were, my first preferance was obviously going to...
more... be non other than "The Chalukya Express". It was the days when the train was newly extended to "those places" and strangely it was not bothering me much till the day of travel. Roughly it was around 1.5 months before my date of travel and it was waiting list. Well “Inoccent me”, I had no idea of its being in the so called "pooled quota" so booked up expecting mostly it would confirm up. The day arrived, i didn't had any idea regarding my ticket's status as those were not the days of owning independent smartphones. My father handed me a dabba old nokia phone and waved me out of the house as if sending a soldier for the war :p ( As it was my first time travelling alone ). The thought of travelling alone itself made me thrilled, that I forgot that I was still berth less and when I came to my consious it was around 8:30 and my local was somewhere around andheri , when I got a call from the home asking about my ticket status. So I dialed 139 and as I was in the moving train, I couldn't hear anything and what I could hear was just "S3" which relaxed me and I thought I would look upon the seat no. in the chart itself. I was about to call back home to inform them, and suddenly Wollah! my old nokia dabba just went dead running out of battery. I tried all the way to make it alive, but nothing yeilded any fruits. By then I had reached dadar and the 17 year old kid in me started to show its sign. Alone for the first time and totally cut off from contacting both my family at home and also my relatives at bengaloor. Walking through the busy huge overbridge, swicthing from WR to CR, I was thinking , how the hell would I reach my relatives home about which I hardly had any Idea (had been there just once in 2007). I thought, "well just leave it once I reach there , I will beg for someone's phone in ypr station and call them" . The thought of my childhood favorate chalukya made me forget all my worries. But....again "Inocent me" , I didn't knew that it was just the trailer.......To be Continued
