Wap5 is a copied version of a German loco,,they also copied the colour.:-/
It's not copied. The mechanical chassis was based on an earlier German locomotive, but such kind of usage of standard, basic designs is not to be termed as copying. ABB manufactured another loco class tailored for European use on Standard gauge tracks and the WAP5 was also designed by ABB in parallel as a BG variant of the same loco.
WAP5 isn't a copy. It's very much original. Although the mechanical chassis is based on European loco Re460, it is a broad gauge loco. Re460 runs on SG (Standard Gauge) lines.
