I had the following confirm ticket of 22917 (16/12/2015)
Passenger 1-A1 19
Passenger 2-A1 21
Passenger 3-A1 20
Now I wanted to cancel the ticket of Passenger 2.

nothing to worry!
i would consider it as the best feature of IRCTC!
if you have more than 2 berths (1 upper and 1 lower) and if u cancel the ticket of pax who was allotted lower berth, u wil automatically get lower berth showing that the pax whose ticket u cancelled was initially allotted upper berth!

Oh thanks! I didn't know that. Indeed it's a great feature. Now we have both the lower seats for ourselves.
