I had a query regarding RAC/WL. Is there any predefined algorithm or formula in the reservation system used to arrive at RAC or Wait list.
Taking a hypothetical example : If the total seats available between Station-A & Station-B for a train is 100,
1. Will the RAC allocation start only after all the 100 seats are booked ?

If 100 berth is fixed for these 2 stations without any impact of other station quota,,RAC will start only after 100 get filled!!
As per composition, RAC allocation get increased/decreased whch whn crossed, WL starts getting booked!!

Thanks. But is there any limit on the number of RAC's that can be issued after which Wait lists will start being allocated????
No limit..depends on coach count as per coach, RAC been freezed!!
