(hpt-kty) line of swr ..wic is operating only for freight train not opened for passenger train due to gradient constient ..last month GM of SWR said work is going on will b completed within 5 months & it ll b open for passenger by next march .. so i decided to check on going work of this line wic is just half km away from my house.. length of hpt - kty line is (0.0- 70.0 km) ..mainly gradient constient problem lies btn vyasanakere st to gunda rd st (10.0km-19.5km)
pic1: where i started my journey near t.b dam st
pic2,3,4,5: T.B dam st wic just 5km away frm main hpt jn
i asked station master Mr Rajesh about this work & he said all work up to this st frm hpt st is completed ..he said one imprt thing that their is proposal form railway board to close the T.B DAM st ,if passenger train not run in next few months
pic 6:shows minor work @ t.b dam also u can see bridge of NH13
pic7: straight track line on mountain ever elevation will begins
pic 8: imp one u can see their is a rly crossing pt below this NH13 tunnel passes ..
pic 9: diagram of rly crossing
pic 10: track lies above the tunnel it has come down by 6 ft to solve this first gradient constient but their is objection by NHAI stated that if track comes down by 6ft it may damage tunnel hence work is stopped here
pic 11 : shows Reserve tungabhadra dam water, NH13 road connecting solapur - magaluru & beside hpt-kty line
pic 12: where iron ore material gets loaded in train ..
pic 13&14 : vyasanakere st the main problem starts from this st to gunda jn however i could not able to travel on this track becz station master warned me not walk along track due to huge thick forest & presences wild animal like cheetah ther so i stop & walked along rd reach M.M halli (22.2km)
pic 15&16: M.M halli st this st is like cremation ground no one is their here not even station master
pic 17&18 : M.M halli old office & old closed ticket counter
pic 19 : another rly crossing @ m.m halli but no gates placed to stop vehicles becz no train passes here not even freight trains next i traveled towards gunda jn

pic 20,21&22: gunda jn st here also same thing as M.M halli st no station master ..station has to be get reconstructed or re innovated
pic 23: pt where left side track takes swamy halli route & right side one towards kottur

final pic 24: @ gunda st work
Conclusion : main gradient work going btn vyasanakere& gunda jn also signal installation & other work even if work completes by next march .. but still renovation of stations work of M.M halli & gunda jn need to start ..i hope they do on time
