Names of stations in IR which are identical with names of persons. Should not include names ending with nagar, pur, puram, pet, petta, patnam etc like Vyasnagar, Rampur, KRPuram, Gopalpatnam etc. Here are two names to begin with. Hazrat Nizamuddin and Venkatachelam. Others may pls add to the list.

Right, between Hilara and Badarpur on the Lumding Karimganj section. Thanks for enlightening us on the origin of the name, Anirban.
But I had made it clear that names with prefixes and suffixes like pur, pura, puram, gram, nagar, pet, pettah, dham and the like be excluded for limiting the number. I was particularly intrigued by a name like Venkatachalem. Like a calling a staion as Subramaniam. Incidentally there is a station called Subramanya Road.

But Pettah station near TVC does not possess Pettah as a Suffix or a Prefix...What say ?
Is Pettah the name of a person, Vivek. Then it merits a place in the list.
the name is for the station and the town is named as Katigara ,
