Keeping in mind the Seventh Pay Commission’s recommendations, Railway Convention Committee has proposed for 4% dividend for railways in the 2015-16.

Our IR received crores of Rupees from Japanese at the negligible interest rate of 0.1%.So Central government also reduced IR dividend around at least 1 to 2%,since the central Government expects social responsibility from IR for the common and poor people.
