*** Observations at Pune on 02-Jan-2007 (16:35 to 17:05 hrs) : Surprise Visitors ***
Following are observations at Pune near Electric Trip Shed on 2nd Jan 2007 from 16:35 to 17:05 hrs.
1) Kurla Shunter (marked "CLA") WDS4D # 19703 brought empty single General Bogie CR # 86401 and attached the same to empty...

sleeper coach SL bogie CR # 96210 near siding lines at Electric Trip Shed.
2) Valsad Loco BL WCAM1 # 21805 (marked with WR and Gear Ration GR:1661 was standing near Trip Shed.
3) Electric Trip Shed also had 2 KYN WCG2 locos and 1 KYN WCAM3 # 21896
4) Orange liveried Kazipet KZJ WDM2A # 17770 was standing at pit line near Platform No. 6 (towards Mumbai End of Pune).
5) In the mean time, 6351 CSTM-NCJ (via Tirupati) was ready to depart from PF 4. The train seemed to be late by more than 30 min or so (as the scheduled dep at PUNE is 16:00 hrs).
6) Kurla Shunter CLA WDS4D # 19728 brought in the empty rake of 1077 PUNE-JAT Jhelum Exp at PF 3.
7) Towards the Cement Loading Area (Mumbai End of Pune Station), there is Diesel Trip Shed. The shed has board marked with "Trip Diesel Loco Shed (WDS4), Pune". One WDS4D shunter was standing inside the shed. On side line near this shed, there was surprise visitor! Vatwa VTA WDG2 # 14765 was standing. The loco had Vatva written in Hindi on front side.
Behind this Vatva loco, Guntakal GTL WDM3A # 18763R was standing. GTL Loco looked freshly painted.
8) Between PF 2 and 3, there is pit line where diesel locos are parked. On this pit line, brown liveried Kazipet KZJ WDM2B # 16696 was standing. Behind KZJ loco was again a surprise visitor! Shakti loco from Jhansi Shed JHS WDG3A # 14986 was seen standing. Words Jhansi and Shakti were written on front and side panels in Hindi / Devnagari script.
9) In the mean time, PUNE WDG3A # 13150 was seen. This had brought Goa Exp on PF 1. 7031 CSTM-HYB Exp arrived from Mumbai. This was hauled by KYN WCG2 loco. The rake of 1621A PUNE-STR Passenger was ready to depart on PF 6 towards Satara. The rake had complex board name marked with "Kolhapur <--> Miraj <--> Pune" due to rake sharing arrangement
between 1609/1610/1621/1622 Pune-Satara-Miraj-Kolhapur Passengers. Thus, VTA WDG2 and JHS WDG3A were surprise locos at PUNE.
