In SR also there was a problem in creating Salem division. Many objection came from Palakkad division atlast created
Making a new division is easy. But making a new zone is very very difficult.
In UPA govt., it was possible as they won't mind in "divide and rule" theory.
But present BJP govt believes in unity and they were planning to re-merge some zones and reducing the number of total zones.
So now onwards, No new state,No new zone is possible. Yes new...

Not decided till now by cabinet on amalgamation of different zones. It was protested by some sections and political parties.
Its not possible to rejoin different zones into one, but still another plans coming out is one state-one zone.
If this kind of thing is done, then surely all the objections, problems and tensions will get automatically over, but a strong and very cruel rivalry will grow due to this. State wise bashing and abusing will start.
