#ObservationsAtPune *** 9 Years Ago Today at Pune! Observations at Pune on 27-Jan-2007 (14:30 to 16:30 hrs)! ***
1) On PF6, orange/red Kazipet KZJ WDM2B # 16474 was seen hauling 8-9 coach long BOBYN rake containing sand/stone/ballast. The sand/stones were being droppped on the lines of PF6.
2) On PF5, rake of a train in standard CR day train livery (blue/white) was standing. The board on the last SLR bogie from PF6
indicated

"Deccan Exp". I was surprised to see the rake was empty (although the doors were open, etc). Many people were standing on PF4/5 and not getting into the rake of Deccan Exp on PF5. When I saw this train from PF5, the board on the SLR bogie indicated "Indrayani Exp". And hence people were not getting into the train.
3) Soon, Kurla shunter CLA WDS4D # 19661 brought the rake of Deccan Exp on PF4 (and Indrayani Exp empty rake was still at PF5). This confirmed the rake sharing arrangement (RSA) between Deccan Exp and Indrayani Exp.
4) On pit line near PF6 (Daund End), 2 diesel locos were ready, viz., Guntakal GTL WDM3A # 18886R and Erode ED WDM2 # 16802. GTL loco will haul today's 6011 towards South India.
5) 1610 MRJ-PUNE Passenger arrived from Miraj side (30 min late) behind GTL WDM3A # 18895R loco. Guntakal loco for Miraj-Pune Passenger was surprise for me (as I had thought of PUNE WDMx loco for this train). The train had 9 coaches.
6) There were announcements that 1078 JAT-PUNE Jhelum Exp is running late by 45 min. Jhelum finally arrived on PF1 from Daund side behind blue PUNE WDM3A # 18767R loco.
7) T6 Pune-Talegaon EMU Local departed from PF2 at 15:00 hrs.
8) Electric Trip Shed had following locos: KYN WCAM3 # 21889 + WCAM3 # 21935 + WCAM3 # 21931 + BL WCAM1 # 21818 + WCAM1 # 21833 + WCAM1 # 21839 + KYN WCG2 # 20124 + WCG2 # 20127 + WCG2 # 20152. Kalyan WCG2#20152 was soon attached to the rake of CSTM bound Deccan Exp.
9) Orange Kazipet loco KZJ WDM2A # 16684 was seen doing shunting duties on mid-lines between PF1 and PF2.
10) Soon announcement was made that 1030 KOP-CSTM Koyana Exp is coming on PF5. With MRJ-PUNE Passenger coming behind GTL WDMx loco, I was expecting Koyna behind PUNE WDMx loco. Again surprise! Koyna Exp arrived behind KZJ WDM2A # 17228 loco.
11) SBC-CSTM Udyan Exp arrived on PF2 behind KJM WDP4 # 20015 loco.
12) CSTM-NCJ Exp via Tirupati arrived from Mumbai behind KYN WCG2 # 20144 loco. The train soon left Pune behind ED WDM2 # 16802 loco.
13) NCJ-CSTM Exp arrived from South India behind ED WDM2A # 17946 loco. This ED WDMx will haul today's Hutatma Exp from PUNE to SUR (Solapur).
14) 2781 MYS-NZM SwarnaJayanti Exp arrived from Miraj side behind KJM WDM3A # 17930 and the same loco reversed to take the train towards Daund-Manmad side.
15) CSTM-HYB Exp arrived from Mumbai behind KYN WCG2 # 20156 and KZJ WDM2A # 16684 took charge of the train for onwards journey towards Hyderabad.

#ObservationsAtPune *** 7 Years Ago Today at Pune! Observations at Pune : 27 January 2009! ***
Evening observations at Pune on Tuesday, 27-Jan-2009 from 18:45 to 19:00 hrs!
1) 1009 Mumbai-Pune Sinhgad Exp came on PF4 with KYN WCG2 # 20133. This loco went back to electric trip shed
using PF6 empty line.
2)

Pit line near PF6 (at Daund end) had orange GTL WDM3A # 18981R taking rest.
3) Pit line between PF2/PF3 (at Mumbai end) had ED WDM2 # 18561 taking rest.
4) 1556 Solapur-Pune Passenger came on PF5 with GY WDM3A # 18889R.
5) BL WCAM1 # 21852 was getting ready outside electric trip shed. Engine pilots confirmed that this loco will
haul 6508 Bangalore-Jodhpur Exp from Pune to Ahmedabad.
6) Inside electric trip shed, there were 2 KYN WCG2 (one was 20133) and 1 KYN WCAM3 and BL WCAM1 # 21839.
7) Derated green PUNE WDM2S # 18255 # 18495 were busy doing shunting work.
8) Diesel trip shed for shunters had derated blue PUNE WDM2S loco and one yellow PUNE WDS6 shunter taking rest.
9) 1019 Mumbai-Bhubaneshwar Konark Exp came on PF2 with orange KZJ WDM3A # 18886R loco.
10) Lonavala-Pune EMU local, which actually comes in between Sinhgad Exp and Konark Exp, was running late and was expected on PF1. As EMU was late, it seems Konark Exp was allowed to overtake the EMU either at Khadki or at Chinchwad.
11) 6508 SBC-JU Exp came on PF3 with GTL WDM3D # 11115 and got ready with BL WCAM1 # 21852 for onward journey.
