Hi friends. I am travelling from SSPN to KCG for by 17604 for processing my passport. It will be a one day trip so I wish to freshen up in the waiting room and proceed to Begumpet by 1 pm. Return by 17603. How is the waiting room facility at KCG station for freshening up? Also is MMTS a good choice to go to Chiran Fort Lane, Begumpet from Birla Mandir? And after my application is over by say 5-5:30 pm will MMTS be a viable option to return to KCG? Which is the nearest station? Also please suggest some good veggie restaurants near KCG for dinner

There is an AC paid waiting room at the Falaknuma end of PF1 at KCG. Used it in Dec and looked quite usable and clean. The bathrooms were good too.
Rs 20/30 ( dont remember) for first couple of hours. Had a seating capacity of 30 but there were hardly 4 or 5 of them when I used it on a weekday in the afternoon hours.
I'm not very sure about your intra-city travel questions but a MMTS is most recommended to catch your return train from KCG.

for food, there is one good place on the PF itself, close to the waiting room (near the FOB) on PF1. They had good stuff there. I had my breakfast and dinner at the place. Plenty of options to choose from. Haven't had a better noodles and veg ball Manchurian especially inside a railway station.

Hi Anirudh, you can take MMTS till James Street station as it is nearer to passport office. Outside the station, take an auto till Passport office. It is nearby only (around 2 KM).

Not more than 50 if he does not switch on the meter. Otherwise 30-35.
