She was not lucky actually.
It was test run that's why immediately 3phase locomotive WAP5 was arranged for her.
Even GZB WAP7 could have performed very well

Nope it was not due to Failure of BSL P4. There were some braking issues but that was a very minor one otherwise Loco would have been replaced n not attached with WAP 5 n AC rake due to safety aspect.
Actually Some Chinese officials were supposed to board at AGC at 08:00 hrs /Wednesdayto experience IRs MPS action thru loco. So P5 was given as per one newspaper report which has some good loco cab views.

My experience with BSL WAP4
my 02109 was given ET WAP4 and 22110 was also given ET WAP4
BSL WAP4#22203 had brought 22109 that day. it was present in NZM ETS. But my 22110 got late by 30 mins and was shunted by SSB WDS on platform no.7 and ET WAP4 was given. ET WAP4 NZM LTT departed NZM at 16:27 hrs while BCT Rajdhani departed NDLS 16:30 hrs and it gave a tough fight to BCT Rajdhani till Rundhi where it was finally overtaken by Rajdhani.
