Please see SER map or Ranchi Div map in official website that it passes throgh Gautamdhara in Muri Ranchi direction but it passes through Jonha instead of Gautamdhara in opposite direction - it is hilly region and distance are different in UP and Down directions - there is a gap between two lines between Gangaghat and Kita and it is a hilly region. If you don't add gautamdhara (Pass) in by default distance will be wrong. It is needed for updating timeline.

any train going to Ranchi crosses Gautamdhara and in return journey it crosses Jonha instead of Gautamdhara as both lines gets diverted after Kita pemanently and meets directly at Tatisilwai.
