#ObservationsAtPune *** 9 Years Ago Today at Pune! *** Observations at PUNE on 22-Feb-2007 (16:45 to 17:15 hrs)
Following are the observations at ShivajiNagar/Pune Railway Station on Thursday, 22nd Feb 2007, from 16:45 to 17:15 hrs!
1) On the mid line between PF1/2 at SVJR (ShivajiNagar Station), a long mixed BCN/BCNA goods rake was standing (ready to head towards Pune). It had twin KYN WCG2 locos, viz., WCG2 # 20111 + WCG2 # 20119. Both DC locos were dead (with pantograph lowered). Ahead of these locos was a live Hubli UBL WDG4...

# 12035 loco in LHF (Long Hood Forward) manner.
2) As the freight train was standing on through line, Hyderabad bound CSTM-HYB Exp slowly moved towards Pune from PF2 of SVJR (without stopping there) behind KYN WCG2 # 20116 Loco.
3) L22 Pune-Lonavala EMU Local came at PF1 of SVJR and left for LNL.
4) T5 Talegaon-Pune EMU came of PF2. I took this Talegaon local and went to PUNE. On the outer yard of Pune (as we approach from SVJR side), a 10-15 coach long military rake of green SL coaches was seen standing.
5) Electric Trip Shed had following locos: KYN WCG2 # 20114 ; KYN WCAM3 # 21900 ; KYN WCAM3 # 21888 ; BL WCAM1 # 21812 and BL WCAM1 # 21808.
6) Kurla Shunter # 19703 was seen shunting rake of PUNE-ADI Ahimsa Exp.
7) Nagercoil-Mumbai Exp departed for Mumbai behind KYN WCG2 # 20127 Loco.
8) On the pit line between PF2/3 towards Mumbai side of Pune station, a blue Guntakal GTL WDM2 # 17777 was standing.
9) At outer yard, orange Kazipet KZJ WDM2A # 17281 was seen doing shunting work of a train with few AC coaches.
10) CSTM-HYB Exp (as indicated in point 2 above) departed for Hyderabad behind orange KZJ WDM2A # 17508 loco.
11) Goa Exp departed from PF1 towards Miraj behind blue PUNE WDM3A loco.
12) PUNE-STR Passenger was ready to depart for Satara from PF6 behind green PUNE WDM2 # 17937 Loco.
13) Pit line at PF6 (Daund End of Pune Station) had 2 diesel locos, viz., Erode ED WDM2 # 18598 and blue baldie loco from Guntakal GTL WDM3A # 14031. Guntakal Baldie had bulge on one side and flat face on other side.
14) Jhelum Exp was getting ready to depart behind brown PUNE WDM3A # 18621R loco. This PUNE loco had WDM3A markings on front/read and WDM2 markings on the side walls of the loco!
15) Today morning at around 07:45 hrs (23-Feb-2007), a goods train with UBL WDG4 # 12060 was ready to move towards Pune side at Khadaki station. WDG4 hauled goods rake was waiting for the the Level Crossing (LC) at Khadaki to be closed. This LC is usually closed at 07:50 or so as Pragati Exp passes towards Mumbai at that time.

5105 Chapra-Gorakhpur Intercity Exp flagged off from Chappra station on Monday, 23.2.2009! 5105/5106/5105 GKP-CPR-GKP ICE is fully unreserved express train (with only IInd Class General Bogies) and will run 6 days a week (expect Sunday)! 5105 Chhapra-Gorakhpur ICE & CPR dep 06:30 GKP arr 10:30 & 5106 Gorakhpur-Chhapra ICE & GKP dep 17:00 CPR arr 21:15
2) Combined computerized cruise movement system inaugurated!
3) A new halt station named Silhaudi (or Silhaoudi) halt inaugurated!
4) A new halt station named Alehpur Halt (or Alehapur halt) inaugurated!
5) Maharajganj-Masarakh 36 Kms new BG line work inaugurated! Masrakh-Mahrajganj BG line will pass via Siwan and Chapra districts in Bihar State!
6) Chapra-Ara and Thawe-Bettiah new BG line surveys were also announced!

Quick Observations at Pune : 23-Feb-2008 : 09:45 to 09:50 hrs
1) 1042 Chennai-Mumbai Exp arrived on PF1 with orange KZJ WDM2A # 16549 and later got ready for onward journey with KYN WCG2 # 20152.
2) Pune-Lonavala local was ready on PF4.

Empty rake of 2130 HWH-PUNE Azad Hind Exp was taken out by derated green PUNE WDM2S # 18496.
4) Another derated green PUNE WDM2S # 18495 was doing shunting work.
5) Diesel trip shed for shunters had 1 CLA WDS4x loco, 1 yellow PUNE WDS6 loco and 1 derated blue PUNE WDM2S loco, all taking rest.
6) Electric trip shed had 3 BL WCAM1 locos, 1 KYN WCAM3 loco and 2 KYN WCG2 locos.
7) 2127 Mumbai-Pune Intercity Exp was reported to be running late by 15 minutes!
8) Pit line between PF2/3 had orange KZJ WDM2B # 16579 (ready to move out position) and orange GTL WDM2B # 17612 (at dead end).
Note: On Thursday, 1602 Manmad-Pune Passenger had arrived in the morning with blue/white PUNE WDM3D # 11176!
