is extremely (un)famous for its numerous illogical controlling, and questionable priority givings. Giving excessive priority to their own zone trains, and the higher profile trains, and even freights over the other trains (And thus delaying them by several hours) is a common affair in this zone. As a proof, you can watch these few videos as follows.

But on this case, there was a twist in the tale. As NCR's very own train 14156 Udhampur (UHP)- Kanpur Central (CNB) Weekly Express with 14987 JHS WDG- 3A in lead was looped at Etawah station (Although it had a mere 2 minute halt at the station), our 11249 LKO WDM- 3D "CHEETAH" hauled 02264 Ajmer (AII)- Sealdah (SDAH) TATKAL FARE SPECIAL comes thundering through the line, skips the station, and overtakes the other. Also we successively overtake an UDL (Andal) WDG- 4 hauled CONCOR Freight also.
But friends, don't think we got the same priority throughout. From Panki, we were put on the third line, and then on the freight siding. And the 12 kms journey from Panki to Kanpur Central was covered by us in "only" 2.5 hours!!!
