Recently when i travelled between chennai and bangalore i noticed that in middle its single line. but in atlas it shows double line
Its fully double line, just in few stretches around Jolarpet - Kuppam, the UP and DOWN tracks bifurcate and run a little away. Later they run parallel.
Track deviate at Patchur and joins at Mullanur, it is double electrified
