I don't know how joining happens? If 13142 attaches with 23142 from behind then the loco of 13142 should to be 'sandwitched'.
The Link Train Is 1st Brought to a Platform Which Is Empty , Usually adjacent To 13142.
The Loco of Link Express Is Removed From Front and Is Attached Backside, Then The Train(23142) is Shunted and is moved towards 13142 and is Attached from Back Side and The Back engine Is Removed and the Train Continues its Journey.
The All Process Usually Takes nearly 30-35 Mins.
