agree, everyone wants to reach sbc early morning and leave friday late evening.. SR has upper edge in deciding time-slots for sbc compared to other zones..(Though I'm not sure, heard that sbc was part of SR long back so trend is continuing )
Yes sir that is the exact reason, most of the SBC divn officials are from SR zone who were transferred to SWR when it was formed. Hence SR enjoys more hold on SBC even today..
Yes, SBC was part of SR till 2003. Most of the long running trains from SBC earlier belonged to SR and naturally had the best slots possible. Now terminal constraints have become a big problem.
The problem with following YPR-HWH slot is that, for a daily train in that slot, primary maintenance has to be handled by SBC/YPR as the travel time ( 16-20 hours) and the requirement for early morning arrival/evening departure at SBC will not give enough time for maintenance at CCT/VSKP, unless some RSA pattern is used. That's why it is difficult to get a train from VSKP-BZA region with comfortable timings at SBC. Only late morning arrivals and afternoon departures are easy to implement for now.
Not only with SBC , the entire SBC and MYS divisions . Same way Many SBC / MYS div ppl are employed all over SR , particularly at MAS . The co ordination between MAS and SBC is pretty good , once they introduced a special having RSA with Brindavan and lalbagh.
