The Jharkhand state government is trying hard to convert Ranchi into a Railway zone that will cover the entire state. Currently the state is covered under 3 separate zones that are headquartered in other states :
South Eastern Railway - Kolkata (WB)

in every terms ranchi is half of patna.ha ha ha biggest joke that in many indicators patna lags behind ranchi.grow up man even do u know that what is the price of land in patna.current pop of patna metropolitan region is around 30 lakhs.do u seriously think that in leisure,hospitality,medical services patna lags behind ranchi come to patna u will feel the difference.in every sector viz automotive,leisure,medical,engineering,university patna is far ahead of ranchi.now talking in terms of only railway leave alone patna i will give u one fine example Bhagalpur(BGP) has very less no of trains as compared to ranchi but its annual revenue is far ahead of ranchi.for bihar major railway station(patna,muzaffarpur,bhagalpur,darbhanga,gaya ,chapra all are a-1 category ) annual passenger revenue for 2014-2015 is like this 300 cr,105 cr,81 cr,69,cr,64 cr so total comes around 619 cr.for jharkhand major railway station(TATA,DHN,RNC) IS LIKE THIS 117 cr,52 cr,48...
