Loco is WAM 3.Please update.And from Katpadi this will haul by WDM 3A engine reversely.

No..Actually I used to go from Howrah to Pondicherry.So, only this train is important to me. :)
The other two trains announced are not from howrah...but they from WB.
One is Kharagrpur and another from Puriliya. Any ways i hope shorter router via vellore will reduce HWH-PDY journey a little bit.
For me, the journey will be the same.And from Villupuram I hve to catch a bus to reach Pondi!!!!
Yes the railway line from chengalpattu to katpadi is not fully non electrified only the portion between tirumalpur to arakkonam is non electrified.
