So much means how much. When MoU was signed between govt. Of india and alstom it was clearly written that alstom will supply the lhb coach which will run at 180 AT PRESENT INFRASTRUCTURE. Left this, when government was upgrading the tracks since last year for 160 why they not upgraded to 180 kmph
It's because of the rake length. Usually, for identical track maintenance, shorter rakes can run at higher speeds than longer rakes. This is also the reason why Gatimaan is officially cleared to run at 160kmph, but not BPL Shatabdi. Upgrading Gatimaan to 180kmph will require more track and signalling modifications, while current 160kmph clearance was possible for a short 12 coach rake without much overhaul.
With the increase of speed ...an extra force on coupling comes in effect ..that's why all high speed trains have ..2 power sets to reduce stress on coupling..one pulls and other pushes the rake..
Sir Hamare Yaha k Track Weak h... 180 pr Gaadi chal h But ye ek huge Risk hoga... !!
