As airlines offering flights at a cost of 2AC Tatkal which is quite cheap considering I am saving 12 hours.
Imagine catching 12274 Duronto and Reaching Asansol (Durgapur Airport) by the time it reaches Aligarh.

A fare increase is much needed for the SL and GN classes. You can't expect better services without paying.
Rajdhanis still have decent patronage and are successful; Durontos were unsuccessful on many routes and commercial halts were introduced in between. Considering the demand and taking a look at history; Rajdhanis will remain successful(huge demand even after removing the air-option taking passengers; 3A is hit in most trains; 1A is least sought after)
With our population do u think any service would be empty. Say people who took Rajdhanis few years back including me move on to flights.
But we always have new takers for Rajdhani. I just meant to say just because you have constant demand it does not mean you will start
lowering the services. Take for instance catering gone down for almost each Rajdhani.

Catering has taken a hit on the Rajdhani type services and IR should look into it. Pantry services are in a serious need of overhaul on most trains.
