This train does not pass through any state other than Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.Malayalis need a Shatabdi Express. All states except Kerala have their own Shatabdis.
As I mentioned before,Kerala is the only state without Shatabdis.
Eventhough we have a Sampark Kranti,a Rajdhani,a Jan Shatabdi and 2 Garib Raths,we does not have any Shatabdi.2 Shatabdis are given to Tamil Nadu, both starting from Chennai Central.Extend any one of it to Kerala. This train currently stops only at Bangalore City Junction. Please extend this train to Ernakulam Junction via Mangalore,Kannur,Kozhikode,Shoranur and Thrissur.

Regarding shatabdis, viability is also a matter of consideration. The was a Shatabdi connecting the Steel city of ROURKELA and Howrah. Because of poor patronage, the same was withdrawn in the section and reintroduced as RANCHI-HOWRAH Shatabdi. Revenue also matters. It is costly...
